A bill of sale is a legal document that ensures the transfer of sale from one boat owner to it’s new owner. A proper bill of sale should answer questions about the boat including:

- Who is selling the boat?
- Who is purchasing the boat?
- What model is the boat?

REGISTRATION AND OWNERSHIP TRANSFERS: Upon the payment in full of the amount agreed above, the SELLER, at his/her own cost shall effect the transfer of ownership and registration, if applicable, of the BOAT to the BUYER.
SELLER REPRESENTATION: SELLER warrants to the BUYER that he/she is the real owner of the BOAT and that he has legal right title thereto to grant, sell, convey, and transfer ownership to the BUYER. The SELLER also warrants that the BOAT is free from any liens and encumbrances.
WARRANTIES:
The BOAT is sold “as is” and without any express or implied warranty and representation of the SELLER other than those expressly stated above.
OR
The SELLER has no knowledge of any hidden defects in and to the BOAT, and believes to the best of his knowledge that the BOAT being sold is in good operating condition.
the BUYER has [NUMBER OF DAYS] from the delivery date of the BOAT to have it examined by an independent mechanic for any defects. In case the BOAT is found to have defects without the fault of the either the BUYER or the SELLER, the BUYER may return BOAT to the SELLER and get a full reimbursement of the payment price or replacement of the item plus damages arising from the defect at the option of the BUYER. Failure of the BUYER to have the BOAT examined within the time period will nullify this warranty.
GOVERNING LAW: This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the Laws of [State].
